|About & Services||
The Sudbury/Manitoulin Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association received its charter from the Ontario Division of the Association in 1984. Through its Board of Directors, the Sudbury/Manitoulin Branch is responsible for all the affairs of the Association in the Sudbury/Manitoulin District. The Board manages and directs local programs, plans and directs policy, channels community input, and provides accountability. The Board has full legal responsibilities and liability. The Board also has a district responsibility to the communities it serves. Its members are drawn from all walks of life, and a significant number must be consumers of mental health services and/or family members.
Canadian Mental Health Association – Sudbury/Manitoulin is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to individuals, families and community partners. In February 2014, we were awarded the highest level of accreditation through Accreditation Canada– Accredited with Exemplary Standing! Through our participation in Accreditation Canada’s Qmentum program staff, leadership and the board were given an opportunity to reflect on what we do well, celebrate our successes and ensure that we are continually improving to meet national standards of excellence. Becoming Accredited with Exemplary Standing demonstrates to the individuals we serve and their families that the agency has policies and processes in place to help minimize risk and deliver safe, efficient and effective care to them and their loved ones.
